Sony  Wi-Fi Tablets


Sony  unveiled several new devices at the IFA conference in Berlin, including two tablets, an updated Reader device, and a new addition to its Xperia smartphone lineup. On the tablet front, Sony debuted the Sony Tablet S and Sony Tablet P, both of which run Android Honeycomb and are based on an Nvidia Tegra 2 chipset.

Tablet S

Sony recently listed the price for its Tablet S (16 GB, Wi-Fi) model on its official Indian website. It is expected that very soon the device will be available across leading retail stores in the country.  The new Android 3.2 Honeycomb tablet S listed on the website comes in 16 GB Wi-Fi version; however, the 3G version of the device has yet to make its appearance in India. It acts as your universal remote control, with crystal clear True Black Display and dynamic xLOUD sound. Equipped with a fluid 23.9-cm fluid touchscreen, Nvidia Tegra2 1 GHz processor along with 1 GB of RAM, the device features swift and smooth touch experience with "Quick View" and "Quick Touch". It further offers pre-installed games for PlayStation-certified devices. The Sony Tablet S W-Fi is now priced for retail at Rs 29,990 .

The Tablet P is a dual-screen, folding Android tablet that includes two 5.5-inch, 1024-by-480 screens. It feature a 5-megapixel camera on the outside and a VGA camera inside for video chat. It has 4GB of internal memory, but includes a full-size SD Card slot. There’s also a MicroUSB input. It will connect to AT&T’s network with an HSPA+ modem . Although it’s long and skinny. It’s not flat, either; the outside bows out into a convex form that’s oval at the edges. It’s the weirdest Android tablet design ever, although it isn’t the first dual-screen Android device .
