How to root Xperia Sola MT27: Tutorial

You can get root access in Xperia Sola MT27 running on Android 4.0.4 ICS Official firmware with simple procedure. On earlier post we have discussed how to root Xperia Go ST27, this time we will root Xperia Sola MT27. Sola uses 3.7 inches display with floating touch display capability having 854 x 480 pixels resolutions. It has NovaThor U8500 chipset though it uses dual core 1GHz Cortex A-9 processor. You can easily root Xperia Sola MT27 on Android 4.0.4 ICS official firmware with this one-click root method. You should have unlocked bootloader for rooting Xperia Sola MT27.

How to root Xperia Sola MT27

Pre-requisites:

This Procedure is only tested on Xperia Sola MT27, not for any other versions of Sony or any other device. We have explained all required steps in detail:      

Step 1: To ensure that you do not lose anything, please create backup of SMS, Contacts, APN settings, Whatapp chat messages etc. [Take help from Titanium Backup app-Download]

Step 2: Please ensure that you have battery minimum 60% battery levels.

Step 3: While installing custom ROM or rooting your device it is required to enable USB debugging. You will find USB debug enable options in Settings>>Developer option.

Step 4: If you have already rooted your device and install CWM recovery and going to install a ROM then please backup your Firmware ROM using CWM recovery.

Step 5: We suggest a full backup of your apps and cache data, if you are rooted use Titanium Backup [App backup and Restore tutorial].

Step 6: Please disable Antivirus, Firewall or other security apps before flashing Root, Firmware or Custom ROM as them may interrupt the procedure.

Step 7: Please insure that you have correct driver and ADB installed on your System.

Step 8: Your bootloader must be unlocked (Please note that unlocking the bootloader of your device and/or rooting your device will void its warranty).

If you face any issues you can restore ROM using CWM recovery. After installing Backup you can restore all apps, SMS, Contacts and settings safely.

How to Root Xperia Sola MT27:

Step 1: Connect your Xperia Sola MT27 to the PC via USB cable.

Step 2: Wait till windows detects your device; if it doesn’t detects the device, install the driver properly.

Step 3: Now, run the ‘RunMe.bat‘file file with having power of Administrator (right-click -> Run as Administrator) from the folder which you had extracted earlier.

Step 5: Follow the screen instruction process automatically start and finish, you don’t have to do anything.

NOTE: Your phone might restart 2-3 times during the process. It’s alright and no need to panic.

Step 6: when the process gets finish the device will automatically reboots to its home screen.

Step 7: Disconnect the Xperia Sola MT27 to the PC, Open up your Apps list and you will notice a new app ‘SuperSU’. You can access it anytime to manage root permissions for different apps.
