How to install Custom MIUI Android 4.0.3 ICS on Kindle Fire
Before proceeding forwards to words the installation process we need to per-process some steps –
- You must root your Kindle Fire
- You must flash a custom recovery
- You should also flash new ROM as MIUI will delete all the personal data from your Kindle Fire.
- Keep the back up of all important things.
Installation Process:
- First of all you need to download the latest version of MIUI based on Android 4.0.3 ICS for Kindle Fire.
- After downloading the *.zip file, transfer it to your SD Card. You can even do this on your Kindle Fire itself after you have downloaded the Ice Cream Sandwich or through the file explorer on your Computer.
- After the completion of transfer process, you must shut down the Kindle Fire.
- Now, boot your kindle Fire into custom recovery. There were some popular choices like ClockworkMod Recovery and TWRP. You can select whatever you want to install.
- Take the backup of your Android. This may come handy later on if you have problem with MIUI and wanted to get back to the current setup.
- Do a complete wipe & factory reset from custom recovery.
- Then, flash the ROM which you have transferred to your Kindle Fire. In CWM, you can probably do this from install zip file from SDCard.
- Clear the cache and Dalvik cache. Lastly, Reboot.
